Procom Diplexers
Procom diplexers combine or split two frequency ranges so one dual-band radio can use two aerials, or one dual-band aerial can serve two radios. They’re compact, passive and ideal for vehicle upgrades.
- DIPX 225/330: 0–225 MHz and 330–1300 MHz, for VHF + UHF
- DIPX 1000/1550: 0–1000 MHz and 1550–2700 MHz, for radio + cellular/GPS
- 35 W, low loss, high isolation, 50 × 21 × 50 mm
- BNC connectors as standard. FME, SMA and TNC available on request
One radio, two aerials, or one aerial, two radios
A diplexer is a passive filter that splits or combines two frequency ranges with very little loss.
- Two aerials to one dual-band radio: when a vehicle already has separate VHF and UHF aerials and you fit a single dual-band radio, a diplexer connects both aerials to the radio's one aerial port. You only add the diplexer and swap in the new radio. Aerial return loss, pattern and performance aren't affected.
- One dual-band aerial to two radios: run two transceivers, one in each band, from a single dual-band aerial. The diplexer protects each receiver from the other transmitter and gives each radio a low-loss path to the aerial, so the two radios work independently.
Which model?
Choose the DIPX 225/330 to combine VHF (up to 225 MHz) with UHF (330–1300 MHz), such as a dual-band VHF/UHF land mobile radio. Choose the DIPX 1000/1550 to separate everything up to 1000 MHz from 1550–2700 MHz, such as a radio aerial sharing with GPS or cellular. Some DIPX 1000/1550 models pass DC, so they can feed an active GPS aerial.
Connectors
Supplied with BNC connectors as standard. The DIPX 225/330 is also available with FME, SMA or TNC connectors, and the DIPX 1000/1550 with FME, which suits vehicle aerial leads. Contact us for other connector options, or use our Telegärtner adapters and connectors.
