Fit an aerial without drilling the vehicle

A glass mount aerial lets you fit a radio aerial to a vehicle without drilling holes in the external body panels, ideal for leased vehicles, utes with canopies and fleet cars. The aerial plate is bonded to the outside of the window and the matching unit to the inside, and the signal passes through the glass.

UHF: Hi-Tec Aerials GMU

The Hi-Tec Aerials glass mount UHF aerial is a 5/8 wave design providing 3 dB of gain. The aerial plate and internally mounted matching unit are fitted to the glass with high-bond adhesive tape, and the unit is easy to install and tune. It is supplied with a 4 m RG58 tail, unterminated.

VHF: Procom GF 151

The Procom GF 151 is a half-wave, unity gain VHF glass mount antenna, tunable across 138–175 MHz with a tuning screw on the matching unit. It has a black chrome stainless steel and brass whip that removes for car washes, a swivel joint for 180° angle adjustment, and needs no ground plane. It suits glass 2.5–7 mm thick, needs a 52 × 47 mm clear area, and connects with an FME connector (cable ordered separately). It is not suitable for windows with a heat-reflective coating.
