What we do

Four services, one team

Most customers need more than one of these, and they work better together than bought separately. You can also take any one of them on its own — including for radio you did not buy from us.

Why it matters

One team across the life of the system

A radio network is not a purchase, it is a thing you own for a decade. The cost of owning it is decided by who looks after it.

When installation, maintenance, monitoring and repair sit with four different suppliers, every fault starts with an argument about whose problem it is. When they sit with one team, the people who commissioned the site are the people who get the callout, and they already know how it was built.

We are not tied to one manufacturer and we do not run our own repeater network, so there is no equipment we are pushing and no infrastructure we need you on. That leaves us free to tell you when something should be repaired rather than replaced.

  • We service what we did not sell. Bring us a network someone else installed and we will take it on.
  • Our own people. Signals engineers and technicians on site, not a subcontractor you have never met.
  • Compliance stays with us. We hold 312 active RSM licences for customers and manage every renewal.
  • Repair before replace. We quote the repair honestly, including when it is not worth doing.
  • Records that outlast staff turnover. Site configuration and history stay with us, not in a departed manager's inbox.
  • One number to call. Whatever has gone wrong, it is the same 0800 number.

How it works

From first site visit to the tenth year

The same four stages whether you are building something new or handing over a network you already have.

Survey and design

We look at the site, the terrain and how your people actually work, then design coverage around that rather than around a product we want to sell.

Install and commission

Built in our workshop or on your site, programmed, tested and signed off working. Licensing is applied for and held by us.

Monitor and maintain

Scheduled servicing keeps it healthy; live monitoring catches what a schedule cannot. Most problems get dealt with before they reach you.

Repair and extend

Equipment gets repaired rather than replaced where that is the right answer, and the network grows as the operation does.

Common questions

Before you call

Will you service a system you did not install?

Yes, and we do it often. We will survey what is there, tell you honestly what condition it is in, and take it on from that point. You do not have to have bought the equipment from us.

Do you cover the whole country?

We have engineers and technicians working on site nationwide, based out of Christchurch and Auckland. The field team is not a one-city service.

Is it worth repairing old radios?

Often, yes — a workshop repair is usually a fraction of replacement cost, and being able to service equipment is what gives it a long life rather than a short one. We assess it first and tell you when a repair is not worth doing, which is not the answer that sells the most radios.

What does monitoring actually give me?

Visibility. Instead of finding out about a fault when a crew reports it, the network tells us. That means problems are identified as they happen, and when a technician does go out they already know what they are going to.

Do I have to take all four services?

No. Each one stands on its own. They do work better together — the people who installed a site are the best people to maintain it — but plenty of customers start with a repair or with monitoring and go from there.

Do you handle the licensing?

Yes. We apply to Radio Spectrum Management, coordinate the frequencies, hold the licence and manage the renewals. We currently hold 312 active licences on behalf of customers, who never contact RSM themselves.
