Procom Filters

Procom filters are compact VHF and UHF notch, band pass and pass-reject filters for cutting interference at radio sites and in multi-coupling systems. They protect receivers from nearby transmitters and clean up transmitter spurious outputs.

  • Notch: BPF 70/3 (UHF) and BPF 2/3 (VHF)
  • Band pass: BPF 70/4 (UHF) and BPF 2/4 (VHF, 2, 4 or 6 MHz)
  • Pass-reject: BPBR/BRBP 2/4 (VHF) and BPBR/BRBP 70/3 (UHF) for closely spaced frequencies
  • Up to 50 W, N type (BNC, TNC, UHF or SMA on request)

The right filter for the interference problem

  • Notch (band reject) filters remove one narrow band, usually a specific interfering transmitter, and pass everything else. The BPF 70/3 covers UHF 406–470 MHz. The BPF 2/3 uses helical resonators to notch a frequency in 144–175 MHz while passing 0–430 MHz.
  • Band pass filters pass only your band and reject everything outside it. They're ideal as a receiver preselector or to reduce transmitter spurious. Choose the BPF 70/4 for UHF 380–470 MHz (4–10 MHz bandwidth) or the BPF 2/4 for VHF 144–175 MHz in 2, 4 or 6 MHz bandwidths. The BPF 2/4-C fits directly into Procom PRO-AR receiver multicouplers.
  • Pass-reject filters pass one frequency and reject another close by, where a normal band pass or notch filter isn't steep enough. BPBR types reject on the high side of the pass frequency, and BRBP types on the low side. Each is built for a set pass-reject spacing.

Built to last

Extruded aluminium housings, PTFE-insulated cables and connectors, and a black vinyl coating against corrosion give stable performance over a wide temperature range. Pass-reject filters tuned for several channels or a set bandwidth are best factory tuned. Tell us your frequencies when ordering.
