VHF 4 Cavity Duplexer
$1,566.53 inc GST
The Hi-Tec Aerials VHF 4 Cavity Duplexer (DUP) lets a VHF repeater or base station transmit and receive on one aerial. A band-pass/band-reject design with temperature-compensated 105 mm copper cavities gives low loss, high isolation and extra protection from out-of-band signals.
- 138–170 MHz, tuned to your Tx/Rx pair (5 MHz tuning range)
- Minimum Tx/Rx separation 1.5 MHz
- 80 dB Rx isolation and Tx noise suppression
- 1.5 dB insertion loss, 100 W, N jack connectors
- 3U 19″ rack mount, made in New Zealand
One aerial for transmit and receive
A duplexer lets a repeater or full-duplex base station transmit and receive at the same time on a single aerial. It keeps the transmitter's power and noise out of the receiver, so the site doesn't need a second aerial and feeder. The DUP is designed and built by Hi-Tec Aerials in Christchurch for New Zealand VHF repeater sites.
Band-pass/band-reject design
Many duplexers only notch out the other frequency. The DUP combines band-pass and band-reject responses, so it also rejects strong out-of-band signals that can desensitise a receiver on a busy hilltop site. Four fully temperature-compensated 105 mm copper cavity resonators keep insertion loss low and hold their tuning from −30 to 60 °C.
Tuned for your channel
Each duplexer is built and tuned for a particular part of the 138–170 MHz band, with a 5 MHz tuning range and a minimum 1.5 MHz Tx/Rx separation. Tell us your transmit and receive frequencies and we'll supply it tuned and tested.
Complete the site
Pair the duplexer with cavity filters for extra selectivity, a Sinclair isolator to reduce intermod, lightning protection and pre-made cable leads. For Procom models and UHF, see the Procom duplexers. Signals NZ installs and services repeater sites across New Zealand.
