Hi-Tec Aerials UHF ground dependent whips for fitting to Hi-Tec aerial bases on vehicles, from a compact quarter-wave to 3 dB gain collinear and 5/8 wave whips.
- WUCOL3: UHF collinear, 3 dB gain, 400–500 MHz, black
- W5/8U: 5/8 wave stainless whip, 3 dB gain, 400–500 MHz
- W02: 200 mm stainless whip, 380–550 MHz
- Collet or grubscrew mount onto Hi-Tec bases
UHF whips with up to 3 dB gain
The W5/8U and WUCOL3 both give 3 dB of gain, with the collinear WUCOL3 offering a wider bandwidth. The W5/8U is supplied tuned to 400–410 MHz and the WUCOL3 to 400–420 MHz. The W02 is made from parallel stainless steel with a vinyl tip.
Hi-Tec Aerials whips mount onto our aerial bases using either a collet mount or a grubscrew mount. They are ground dependent, so they work best mounted on a metal vehicle roof or panel that acts as the ground plane. Mount the base on a magnetic mount or a vehicle aerial bracket.
