  • Front-to-back ratio up to 15 dB, 250 W maximum power
  • Vertical or horizontal polarisation (specify when ordering)
  • Matching section sealed in the driven element
  • Supplied with a factory coax tail and N plug, no clamp

Professional VHF yagis for rugged sites

The Hi-Tec Aerials PRO-YV series is a comprehensive range of professional VHF yagi antennas for directional point-to-point links, linking repeaters and reaching distant coverage areas. They are built for the most rugged environments and to withstand harsh New Zealand weather, and can be mounted for either vertical or horizontal polarisation. Please specify polarisation when ordering.

Each yagi is constructed from extruded series 6000 silver-anodised aluminium, with cast aluminium clamps and stainless steel hardware. Nominal feed impedance is 50 Ω, with the matching circuit sealed inside the driven element. The feed line is RG213 coax, while some models use a 75 Ω RG11 section as part of the matching system.

The low band models (PRO-Y3VL and PRO-Y4VL) cover the 88–108 MHz FM broadcast band. The high band models run from the compact two-element PRO-Y2VH (3 dBd, wide 145° beam) up to the centre-mounted six-element PRO-Y6VH (8.5 dBd).

Ordering

Choose the model and frequency band. Low band models are available in 88–108 MHz. High band models are available in 118–136, 138–144, 151–156, 156–162 and 162–170 MHz.

As standard each yagi comes with its factory coax tail (RG11 or RG213, see specifications) and an N plug, with no clamp. The tail is part of the matching system, so the cable type and length are fixed. You can choose a different connector (N jack or right-angle N plug, see connectors) and add mounting hardware: mounting clamps or saddle clamps to suit the 48 mm (low band) or 38 mm (high band) boom, a universal clamp, or a cross clamp. Contact us for a quote on a custom configuration.

For lighter-duty sites see our VHF standard yagis, or for omnidirectional coverage our professional VHF folded dipoles. Need UHF? See our UHF professional yagis. To stack two or four yagis, use a coaxial power divider. We also offer installation and service and lightning protection.
