UHF Collinear Antennas
Price range: $649.07 through $1,299.35 inc GST
Hi-Tec Aerials professional UHF collinear antennas are omnidirectional gain antennas for repeaters and base stations that need to talk to outstations in every direction. They come in 3, 6 and 8 dBd versions, in standard or rugged builds.
- 400–500 MHz, in three tuned bands: 400–430, 430–470 or 470–500 MHz
- 3, 6 or 8 dBd gain, 300 W
- Standard models have a tapered gloss white radome. RG models have a parallel matte black rugged radome
- Supplied with a 0.5 m RG213 tail and N plug, no clamp
- Customisable: cable type, cable length, connector and mounting
All-round coverage with gain
A collinear stacks radiating elements in one vertical radome to concentrate signal towards the horizon in all directions. That makes it the standard choice for repeaters and base stations working mobiles and handhelds spread around a site. The internal element sits in a high-dielectric fibreglass radome that minimises precipitation and wind static for low-noise operation.
Choosing a model
- Gain: 3 dBd (34° vertical beamwidth) suits hilltop sites with nearby users below. 6 dBd (17°) is a good all-rounder. 8 dBd (11°) gives the most range over flat terrain or from lower sites.
- Standard or rugged: the standard COL models have a tapered radome in gloss white. The RG (rugged) models have a parallel radome in matte black for harsh or high-visibility-sensitive sites.
- Band: choose 400–430, 430–470 or 470–500 MHz to cover your channels.
Standard build and customisation
As standard, each antenna comes with a 0.5 m RG213 tail and an N plug, with no clamp. You can customise:
- Cable type: see our coax cable range
- Cable length: a longer tail to suit your install
- Connector: e.g. N jack instead of N plug (see connectors)
- Mounting: the heavy-duty Universal Clamp is recommended for mounting to a vertical or horizontal support
