UHF Corner Reflector

$2,242.73 inc GST

The Hi-Tec Aerials PRO-CRU8 is a rugged 8 dBd UHF corner reflector for point-to-point links and sector coverage. It holds its performance in harsh weather, with a broad 100 MHz bandwidth, high front-to-back ratio and low side lobes.

  • 400–500 MHz, 8 dBd gain, 22 dB front-to-back
  • 300 W, vertical or horizontal polarisation
  • Black powder-coated 6000 series aluminium reflector to help shed ice
  • Supplied with a 2 m RG213 tail and N plug
  • Can be customised: cable type, cable length, connector and mounting

A tough, directional UHF antenna

A corner reflector focuses signal in one direction, ideal for UHF links between sites or covering a sector from a hilltop. The PRO-CRU8 is built for New Zealand's exposed sites. Its framework is 6000 series aluminium with a black powder coating that helps it shed ice, and it holds its tune in ice and rain. The driven element sits inside a UV-protected PVC radome to minimise precipitation static.

Why a corner reflector?

  • Broad bandwidth: 100 MHz across 400–500 MHz, so it suits many channels without retuning
  • High front-to-back ratio (22 dB) to reduce interference from behind
  • Low side lobes for a clean, predictable pattern
  • Minimal detuning from ice

Built to your installation

As standard, the PRO-CRU8 comes with a 2 m RG213 tail fitted with an N plug and no clamp. You can customise:

  • Cable type: e.g. LMR400 or RG214 instead of RG213 (see coax cable)
  • Cable length: a longer tail to suit your install
  • Connector: N jack, BNC, TNC, PL-259 and more
  • Mounting: 63 mm cast aluminium support clamps fit 48 or 63 mm tube, for vertical or horizontal polarisation. Add mounting clamps or cross and large cross clamps to suit your mast.
