UHF Professional Yagis

Price range: $979.04 through $1,209.59 inc GST

Hi-Tec Aerials professional UHF yagis are rugged directional antennas for point-to-point links and long-range coverage in harsh conditions. They come in 4, 6, 8 and 10-element versions, so you can match gain to the path.

  • PRO-Y4U 7.5 dBd, PRO-Y6U 8.5 dBd, PRO-Y8U 9.5 dBd, PRO-Y10U 11 dBd
  • 100 W, 10 MHz bandwidth, 15–20 dB front-to-back
  • Three tuned bands: 420–430, 440–450 or 450–460 MHz
  • Series 6000 anodised aluminium, cast aluminium clamps, stainless hardware
  • Sealed driven element, all elements DC grounded
  • Supplied with a 1 m RG58 Low Loss tail and N plug, no clamp
  • Customisable: cable type, cable length, connector and mounting

Directional UHF for tough sites

A yagi focuses signal in one direction, giving more range and less interference than an omni antenna. Hi-Tec Aerials' professional series is built for the most rugged environments. The elements and boom are extruded Series 6000 anodised aluminium, the clamps are cast aluminium with stainless steel hardware, and the matching circuit is sealed inside the driven element. All elements are DC grounded to reduce static and help protect equipment.

Choosing a model

  • More elements, more gain: the 4-element (7.5 dBd, 55° beamwidth) suits shorter links and wider coverage. The 6-element gives 8.5 dBd and the 8-element 9.5 dBd. The 10-element (11 dBd, 36°) is for the longest paths.
  • Band: 420–430, 440–450 or 450–460 MHz. Bandwidth is typically 10 MHz with return loss better than −14 dB.
  • Polarisation: end mounted and built vertically polarised as standard. Specify horizontal polarisation when ordering if you need it.

Two or more yagis can be stacked with a power divider for extra gain.

Standard build and customisation

As standard, each yagi has a 1 m RG58 Low Loss tail with an N plug and no clamp. You can customise:
