The Hi-Tec Aerials PRO-SHD3U is a professional UHF shrouded dipole that gives 3 dBd gain in a compact side-mount package. Its reduced surface area and rugged build make it ideal for harsh, iced or marine sites.

Gain in a compact side-mount dipole
The PRO-SHD3U puts 3 dBd of gain into a dipole that side-mounts on a tower or mast, a compact alternative to a collinear where space, wind loading or ice are concerns. The dipole elements are shrouded in a pultruded fibreglass radome sheathed in black heat shrink to help shed ice. The elements are DC grounded to reduce precipitation static.
Built for harsh sites
The centre feed exits through a heavy-duty element-to-boom casting, fixed to the boom with three radial bolts. The boom is 48 mm OD × 4.47 mm grade 6000 aluminium tube, with the RG213 coax run down its centre.
Standard build and customisation
As standard, the PRO-SHD3U comes with a 1.5 m RG213 tail from the boom exit, fitted with an N plug. Mount it with either of our cross clamps (small or large, recommended). You can customise the cable type and cable length (see coax cable), the connector (e.g. N jack, see connectors) and the mounting. Contact us for a quote on a custom configuration.
