The GME AE220N is a ground independent black fibreglass antenna for 26 MHz AM CB radios. Because it doesn’t need a ground plane, it performs properly on bull bars, brackets and other mounts where a standard AM CB whip would struggle. It’s pre-tuned, comes with 4.5 m of low-loss coax and is made in Australia. Note that 26 MHz AM CB is not compatible with UHF CB radios. Signals is an authorised GME dealer.

AM CB on a bull bar or bracket

Most AM CB whips are ground dependent and need a large metal surface underneath them to work well. The AE220N is ground independent, so it performs properly on a bull bar tab, mirror bracket or tray mount with no metal roof below it. That makes it a strong choice for 4WDs, trucks and work vehicles running 26 MHz AM CB.

The base loaded black fibreglass whip is pre-tuned, so there's no tuning needed, and it comes complete with 4.5 m of low-loss coaxial cable ready to run to the radio.

26 MHz AM CB is a separate band from UHF CB, so this antenna only works with AM CB radios such as the GME TX2720N. Other AM CB options: the GME AE2007N 1200 mm stainless whip, the AE2001 320 mm helical and the Hi-Tec Aerials AM CB aerials.
