The Waka Data ECAN01 is a contactless CAN bus adapter that reads vehicle data without cutting or piercing the wiring. It clips around the CAN wires and passes engine, fuel and odometer data to a compatible Waka Data tracker, keeping your vehicle warranty intact. Installed and supported by Signals NZ.
The Waka Data ECAN01 is a warranty-friendly way to get CAN bus data into your fleet tracking. Instead of splicing into the vehicle's wiring, this contactless CAN adapter reads the signals inductively through the wire insulation and forwards them to your tracker. There's no damage to the loom and no risk to the manufacturer's warranty, which makes it ideal for new and leased vehicles.
Paired with a compatible Waka Data tracker, the ECAN01 unlocks vehicle data such as engine status, fuel use, odometer and RPM in Waka Data, Signals NZ's GPS and fleet management platform, so you can report on fuel, maintenance and road user charges with real figures from the vehicle.
