Smart digital mobile radio for fleets
The IC-F5400D series is Icom's new-generation IDAS mobile radio, built on a flexible, upgradable multi-protocol platform. It runs NXDN digital and analogue FM, with mixed analogue and digital operation so you can migrate a fleet over time, and can be upgraded with a licence key to NXDN Type-D single-site and multi-site trunking or multi-site conventional over IP.
With 1,024 channels in 128 zones (expandable to 4,000), 50 W of transmit power on VHF and 45 W on UHF, and 4 W of audio, it suits trucks, buses, utility fleets and base stations alike.
Features that work hard
- Built-in Bluetooth for wireless headsets and data.
- GPS position reporting with the UX-241 GPS antenna, plus short data messages up to 100 characters.
- Voice recording to microSD, active noise cancelling on transmit and receive, and an audio equaliser.
- Security: DES encryption as standard, AES with the UT-134 unit, voice scrambler, and remote kill, stun and revive.
- Safety: lone worker function, priority and voting scan, emergency calls.
- Fleet management: over-the-air programming (OTAP) and rekeying (OTAR), and over-the-air alias.
- Flexible installation: remote-mount controller, dual head, or the COMMANDMIC for a compact install.
