Automatic tuning for HF antennas
HF radios cover a wide frequency range that no single fixed antenna can match on its own. The Icom AT-140 sits at the base of the antenna and automatically matches it to the transceiver every time you change channel, so you get full power out and low SWR across the band without manual adjustment.
It's designed for use with the Icom IC-F8101 HF transceiver and Icom's marine MF/HF radios (IC-M803, IC-M710, IC-M700PRO) and the IC-78. Mount it outdoors on a mast or pole, or in a vehicle, close to the antenna feed point, and connect a whip or long-wire element of at least 7 m. Power and control come from the radio, so there's no separate supply to run.
