The Icom IC-M85E is an ultra-compact marine and land mobile hybrid radio for professional crews. It covers VHF marine channels plus 100 programmable PMR channels (136–174 MHz), with 5 W output, IP67 and MIL-STD-810 protection, Man Down and Lone Worker alarms, and up to 14 hours of battery life.
The Icom IC-M85E is one radio for both sides of the job: talk to vessels on the international marine channels, then switch to your own land mobile (PMR) channels for crews on the wharf, in the yard or on site. That makes it a strong fit for ports, marinas, ferry and charter operators, aquaculture, fishing companies and harbour services.
At just 56 × 92 × 29 mm and 246 g, it's one of the smallest commercial-grade marine handhelds available, yet still delivers 5 W of transmit power and 700 mW of loud audio. A multi-function button on the top panel switches between marine and PMR channel groups, and built-in safety alarms help protect people working alone or near the water.
