The Hi-Tec Aerials FDU is a standard series UHF folded dipole: a simple, cost-effective base antenna for UHF CB, land mobile radio and telemetry. It has a broad 100 MHz bandwidth, so one antenna covers many channels without retuning.

A simple, reliable UHF base antenna
The folded dipole is the workhorse base station antenna: compact, light and easy to install on a mast, fascia mount or building bracket. Its wide 100 MHz bandwidth means it covers your channels without precise tuning, making it ideal for farm and business base stations, UHF CB, telemetry and small repeater sites.
Choose your band
Select 400–430 MHz or 420–505 MHz to match your radio channels. The 420–505 MHz version covers the UHF CB band and most UHF land mobile channels.
Standard build and customisation
As standard, the FDU comes with a 1 m RG58 tail, an N plug and no clamp. You can customise:
- Cable: RG58 or RG58 Low Loss, in the length you need (see coax cable)
- Connector: N plug, N jack, BNC plug or jack, TNC plug, FME plug or unterminated (see connectors)
- Mounting: mounting clamps for 25, 38, 48 or 63 mm pipe, or saddle clamps
