The GME ABL001 is a universal antenna base supplied with 4.5 m of low-loss foam coax, ready to connect to your radio. It takes any 5/16″ × 26 TPI (BSW) whip and suits both UHF CB (477 MHz) and 26 MHz AM CB antennas. The cable is pre-terminated with an FME connector and comes with an FME to PL259 adaptor. Base and lead in one
The ABL001 is the complete-lead version of GME's AB001 universal base. It comes with 4.5 m of low-loss foam coaxial cable already fitted, so you can mount the base, route the cable and plug straight into the radio. The pre-terminated FME connector is small enough to feed through tight grommets and trim, and the supplied FME to PL259 adaptor fits the standard antenna socket on most UHF CB and AM CB radios.
The base takes any whip with the common 5/16" × 26 TPI (BSW) thread, including GME's 600 mm stainless, AE4006 1200 mm and AE4018 640 mm UHF CB whips, and the GME AM CB fibreglass whips. It's a ground dependent base, so mount it on a metal roof, bonnet, guard or bracket that acts as the ground plane. For a no-drill option, see the GME AB406 magnetic mount base.
