The Icom IC-M423G is a 25 W fixed VHF marine radio with built-in Class D DSC and a built-in GPS receiver for simple installation. Active noise cancelling, a white backlit LCD and keypad, a 10 W PA and foghorn output and IPX7 waterproofing make it a strong all-rounder, with an optional HM-195GB CommandMic for a second station and intercom.
The Icom IC-M423G brings DSC, GPS and active noise cancelling together in a fixed-mount VHF that's easy to install and easy to use. The built-in GPS receiver shows your position and date/time and feeds it straight into DSC calls, and you can switch to an external GPS source over NMEA 0183 if you prefer.
It uses Icom's Marine Family user interface, with a rotary selector, directional keypad, high-contrast white backlit LCD and laser-cut keypad. Active noise cancelling reduces background noise by up to 90% on received audio and 30% on transmit, and the built-in 10 W amplifier drives an external PA speaker for public address announcements and foghorn signals.
